Some of the earliest artwork attributed to human beings, and even pre humans, has to be the animals depicted on the walls of ancient caves. These were usually animals that were hunted. Human beings have co-existed with animals forever with a whole mix of relationships including reverence, domestication, hunting and eating, training for work, farming and others. It is hardly surprising that depictions of animals have had such a prominent place in the art and history of our species. These days of course probably our closest relationship with animals is with domestic pets, and of course that is primarily with dogs and cats. At York Scarves we sell fair trade pure cotton cat prints scarves and pure cotton dog print scarves in a range of colours. Additionally, we have our elephant scarf, which is really more of an elephant shawl, it really is an oversized scarf made from a very light soft cotton in an open weave that is perfect for summer. And for those that like birds we have two styles of owl scarf and a simple bird scarf.

York Scarves is always looking to develop new designs and we plan to keep our range of animal print scarves dynamic and ever changing. As we have access to both screen printers and digital printing, we can also have scarves custom made with your artwork. This has proved popular with various clubs and organisations that are based around animals of various sorts. All we need is some hi-resolution artwork and you could have your own bespoke scarves with your own labelling and branding.

As a BAFTS registered scarf wholesaler and retailer we can assure you that all of our scarves with animal designs are fairly traded in the true sense of the word. It is our aim to prove that quality is not a forgotten word and neither does it need to cost the earth.
